Green Island Country Club

Green Island Country Club’s golf course opened in 1961, featuring a George Cobb and Joe Lee design with rolling hills sitting just off the Chattahoochee River and combines beauty and challenging elevation changes on many holes. Green Island hosted the Southern Open for twenty years, from 1970 to 1990. Integrating beauty with a challenge, the Green Island Golf Course is lined with mature pine trees from the tee to the green and has ultra dwarf-Bermuda greens, and Bermudagrass tees, fairways, and rough.
